Similar in overal shape to the EP version, the Commander GP is so much more than a scaled up sibling.
The construction is still from Laser cut balsa and ply parts, hand assembled by skilled factory staff, there is just that much more of it. This version is primarily designed to be powered by .46 size 2-stroke glow engines but .52 size fours strokes or even an electric conversion are possible options.
Cowlings are GRP and the beautiful covering comes courtesy of Oracover.
Just like the real Commander, the main retract units are twist-and-turn type and tuck away neatly into the nacelles. The noseleg is conventional and all three are air operated. The full air kit (except tank) is included as standard.
That high wing design and dihedral tail provide docile flight characteristics and the Commander makes a great, first, glow twin.
Being a fairly large model, the wings are removable for transport, making the Commander GP easy to transport in a conventional estate or medium size hatrchback car.
