ASM A-26 Invader ARTF [A-ASM005]  £331.99  £249.99

The A-26 Invader, the fastest US bomber of WW-II, saw multinational military service from 1944 WW-II through 1975 serving as everything from a bomber, to a target drone tug, to a counterinsurgency fighter in the Vietnam era. In civilian use its services ranged from a luxury corporate transport to a firefighter seeing service all the way through to 1985. Indeed the A-26 proved to be a versatile design that found usefulness through four decades of service. The ASM A-26 is an exciting replica of the original. Its impressive 2,337mm wingspan results in a great flying model that is easy to see and easy to fly, yet because of its three piece wing, the model breaks down to fit nicely into most vehicles. Not a model to be flown or built by the novice, experienced modellers will find the ASM A-26 easy to assemble and versatile enough to handle many different power systems.

Many scale models - especially ARTF models - can be ridiculously heavy. However, the ASM model is 10-25% lighter than most other designs of this type and size. That lightness is due to ASM's use of 100% fuel-proof painted ABS skin over a light wood and carbon internal airframe for the A-26's fuselage and nacelles. Proven to be durable and lighter than 'traditional' model aircraft construction, the factory engineers are able to create detail normally impossible with typical iron-on coverings.

The ASM A-26 Invader comes from the box built and covered, leaving only final assembly plus radio, engine, and optional retract installation. In the air, this model is just as easy to fly as most 60-size planes. The model can be finished with working retract doors and beautiful aluminium frame air-retracts (sold separately). You, the pilot, can truly achieve a scale look in the air and on the ground.

Designed for a wide variety of power sources - 2 x .52~.55 two strokes, 2 x .52 ~ .70 class four strokes, or a pair of 4120/06 brushless motors (with simple modification) it makes a perfect first twin engined scale warbird.
